Previous Experts champion Jon Rahm pulled out from LIV Golf’s Houston occasion during the second round on Saturday with a foot contamination which has placed into question the Spaniard’s status for the following week’s U.S. Open.
Rahm’s withdrawal came a day after cameras showed him frowning in torment in the wake of hitting a tee took shots at the seventh opening on Friday.
Rahm is booked to hold a pre-competition news meeting at 10:30 a.m. ET (1430 GMT) on Tuesday in front of the June 13-16 U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.
He completed in the main 10 at three majors last year, including at Augusta Public where he won the Experts, yet has battled at the blue-riband occasions since his shock move to LIV Golf last December.
Rahm shared 45th spot at the current year’s Lords and missed the cut finally month’s PGA Title.
He won his most memorable major at the 2021 U.S. Open and came joint tenth last year.
